We feel that communication is one of the key factors in the success of an outsourcing
venture. We use multiple mechanisms to communicate effectively.
Weekly reports
These detail the work done by the team in the previous week, problems faced if any,
milestones reached, work planned for next week, roadblocks if any etc. This ensures
that the clients know what his team is up to.
Conference calls
Weekly or whenever necessary to sort out matters or to generally catch up.
IM
The team is available on instant messenger like gtalk or Skype. If someone from
the client side is available on IM as well, it helps sort out small problems fast.
Bug tracking
We use a our own bug tracking system, which is accesible to clients, to track bugs.
We are also open to using the clients bug tracking system if they have one.
Time tracking
We use a our own time tracking system, which is accesible to clients, to track time.
We are also open to using the client's time tracking system if they have one. The
aim is to have clear understanding of how much time was spent on what particular
activity. This is very important expecially for T and M projects.
